Level of Support: Supported, Physical Difficulty: Beginner level

Orientation: Thurs Aug. 18, 2022 at 2pm

Depart Tybee: Aug 19, 2022 Arrive on Sapelo: Aug. 20, 2022 Head Home: Aug 21 or 22, 2022 (On Sun. Aug 21, the ferry from Sapelo Island leaves at 8:30am and 4:00pm)

Participants: 10 Participants, 2-3 Sojourners (Tour Leaders)

Meals: Vegetarian/Vegan, Sleeping Accommodations: Camping in tents

DAY 1 |  Thursday August 18 | ORIENTATION

PARTICIPANTS MUST BE AT LOCATION BY 3pm

The orientation meet and greet will allow you to:

• meet your tour leaders and fellow cyclists

• participate in a safety training

• gear shuffle

• conduct last minute bike maintenance 

• overview of Bike Tour logistics and ride culture

• Tour Tybee Island

DAY 2| Friday August 19 | Ride Day 1

Tybee Island to Savannah KOA | 38 MILES + a few more for local historical stops

Campground |  Savannah South  KOA Holiday

DAY 3| Saturday August 20 | Ride Day 2

Savannah KOA to Sapelo Visitors Center | 40 MILES

Sapelo Visitors Center to Sapelo Island Ferry Dock  | 5.5 MILES via ferry

Campground | Foots Campground

DAY 4| Sunday August 21  | Ride Day 3

Sapelo Island Bike Tour| 10 MILES
